Therapeutic Touch®(TT) was developed in the early 1970’s by Dolores Krieger, Ph.D., R.N., Professor of Nursing at New York University, and Dora Kunz, a noted healer of her day. TT is currently taught in many nursing universities around the world and is utilized as a nursing intervention in hospitals and medical centers in over 120 countries.
TT is a form of energy healing that may be used alone or with other modalities. TT effectively re-balances the energy field, creating feeling of well-being and ease. TT is a contemporary interpretation of several ancient healing practices from indigenous cultures. My hands are used as a focus to facilitate healing, rebalancing the energy field for better health and wellbeing. TT is gentle and non-invasive, useful for those from birth to care at end of life.

FAQs:
How does TT work?
It begins with centering myself, then I use my hands to facilitate healing by clearing, smoothing and rebalancing the energy field for better health and well being.
What does it feel like?
Some people don’t feel much of anything at all, while others reports sensations of warmth during a session.
Are there any side effects?
TT is completely safe and gentle. Resting for 10 minutes on the massage table at the end of a session is recommended for the energy to assimilate.
Do I need to believe it will work for it to be effective?
No, you do not need to believe anything in particular for TT to be helpful. TT is also not connected to any religion or spiritual beliefs.
I have been practicing TT since 2002 and currently credentialed as a teacher through the Therapeutic Touch International Association. The first class, Foundations of Therapeutic Touch is a 16-hour class, easily taught in 2 days or in four 4-hour modules. Nursing and massage CEs are available for attendees.
Contact me if you would like to know more about classes. Anyone with a sincere desire to learn is welcome! People without any background in massage or energy work, and health care providers can easily learn how to use this as a professional skill at work or as a personal offering to family and friends.
